QUARTERBACKS
Mac Jones, New England vs. Jacksonville: It will take supreme confidence to return to Mac Jones following a poor performance against Buffalo on Sunday. The best remedy: the Jacksonville Jaguars defense.
Davis Mills, Houston at San Francisco: Davis Mills is balling out. There’s no other way to put it. If you are in a Super-Flex or 2-QB league, Mills is in play.
RUNNING BACKS
Rex Burkhead, Houston at San Francisco: Rex Burkhead was sensational in leading the Texans to a victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. Take a sneak peek to see if Burkhead can catch lightning in a bottle one more time.
Jordan Howard and Boston Scott, Philadelphia at Washington: Here we go again! We have talked about the Eagles’ backfield 1/2 dozen times this year. Miles Sanders will miss some time with a hand injury. Jordan Howard and Boston Scott will form a 1-2 punch.
Darrel Williams and Derrick Gore, Kansas City at Cincinnati: Here we go again–part two! Clyde Edwards-Helaire injured his collarbone on Sunday, and even if there is not a break, I would expect CEH to miss some time. Darrel Williams and Derrick Gore will have some value as the Chiefs’ offensive line wears down opponents.
Dare Ogunbowale, Jacksonville at New England: Following the Achilles injury to James Robinson, Dare Ogunbowale stepped in to take on an every-down role for the Jaguars. It may feel gross, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
WIDE RECEIVERS
Isaiah McKenzie, Buffalo vs. Atlanta: With Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis sidelined due to Covid-19, Isaiah McKenzie stepped up as the second option in the Bills passing attack. McKenzie has some versatility as a runner as well and could be a high-upside flex play in your fantasy finale.
Kadarius Toney, New York Giants at Chicago: Kadarius Toney operated as the Giants’ top pass-catcher last week. I would imagine a returning Mike Glennon would help elevate Toney’s ceiling a touch.
Josh Palmer, Los Angeles Chargers vs. Denver: As Mike Williams sits out again next week in the Covid protocol, the Chargers need another pass-catcher to step up opposite Keenan Allen. Josh Palmer looks like the next man up and has some upside appeal.
Nico Collins, Houston at San Francisco: As Davis Mills builds upon consistency at the quarterback position, the players around Mills benefit. Nico Collins has earned a role in the Texans’ offense and is worth a flier.
TIGHT ENDS
Ricky Seals-Jones, Washington vs. Philadelphia: The way to attack the Eagles defense is via the tight end position. Ricky Seals-Jones is a wildcard, but at the tight end position, you could do worse.
Cole Kmet, Chicago vs. New York Giants: Jimmy Graham caught another touchdown on Sunday. At some point, you have to imagine that Cole Kmet puts together the receptions and volume AND finds the end zone.
I like beer. I like football. Sometimes, both at the same time.
