Waiver Wired: Week 11 Fantasy Football Pickups

QUARTERBACKS

Cam Newton, Carolina vs. Washington:

Cam Newton will take over the starting job for the Carolina Panthers beginning this week. It has been a while, but don’t forget that Cam Newton is one of the original ‘Konami-Code’ quarterbacks and offers upside down the stretch.

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami at New York Jets:

Check your waiver wire to see if an impatient fantasy manager dropped Tagovailoa. Tua looked good in the victory over the Ravens on Thursday night and has a fantastic match-up this week against the Jets.

RUNNING BACKS

Rhamondre Stevenson, New England at Atlanta:

We recommended picking up Stevenson last week–hopefully, you listened. If not, and if he is still available, he should be the top priority this week.

Jeff Wilson Jr., San Francisco at Jacksonville:

Elijah Mitchell broke a finger on Monday night and had surgery on Tuesday. Keep an eye on practice reports to see his availability. Regardless, pick up Jeff Wilson Jr. in advance to see how this plays out.

D’Onta Foreman, Houston at Tennessee:

Adrian Peterson was thought to be the leader of the Titans backfield. It appears that D’Onta Foreman is stepping into that role. Foreman is worth a pickup to see if he can gain a tighter grip on this backfield.

Latavius Murray, Baltimore at Chicago:

With Lev Bell released, the Ravens backfield is down to DeVonta Freeman and Latavius Murray. Freeman is the lead back for now, but the coaching staff loves Murray–he will have a role.

Wayne Gallman, Atlanta vs. New England:

The match-up is not great, but we have seen strong fantasy performances from Wayne Gallman before. Cordarrelle Patterson will miss this week, and Gallman is flex-worthy.

Jermar Jefferson, Detroit at Cleveland:

Jermar Jefferson is gaining a strong role behind D’Andre Swift in the Lions’ offense.

WIDE RECEIVERS:

Michael Gallup, Dallas at Kansas City:

We recommended picking up Michael Gallup a few weeks ago. Gallup has immediately inserted into his traditional role in the Cowboys’ offense. If Gallups remains available in your league, pick him up without hesitation.

Kenny Golladay, New York Giants at Tampa Bay:

It has been a rough season for Golladay in New York. The Giants will not run the ball against Tampa, so Kenny Golladay should have plenty of opportunities to shine on Monday night.

Jamal Agnew, Jacksonville vs. San Francisco:

Oddly enough, Jamal Agnew has become the top receiver in the Jaguars’ offense. The Jaguars’ coaching staff makes it a priority to get the ball in Agnew’s hands. Make it a priority to add Agnew to your fantasy roster.

Marcus Johnson, Tennessee vs. Houston:

Marcus Johnson shocked us with 100 yards receiving against the Saints. Julio Jones is nursing another injury, and it appears that his body is breaking down. Investing in a Julio Jones fantasy insurance policy makes sense.

Ray-Ray McCloud, Pittsburgh at Los Angeles Chargers:

With Chase Claypool out, Ray-Ray McCloud played ‘Robin’ to Diontae Johnson’s ‘Batman.’ McCloud is worth streaming in a game that should turn into a shootout.

TIGHT ENDS:

Logan Thomas, Washington at Carolina:

Logan Thomas has missed the last month due to an injury. The Washington offense needs Thomas, and he will step into the every-down role the minute he is healthy.

Adam Trautman, New Orleans at Philadelphia:

Adam Trautman has been playing more and more with every passing week. The Eagles’ have bled fantasy points to the tight end position making this a smash play for Trautman.
