The Oracle Betting Results: Week Ending January 31, 2022

Here, we assess the betting results of The Oracle, the premiere handicapper at BeerLife Sports. We believe in sharing the details of his bets, the hits, and misses.

These recaps span Tuesday through Monday each week. Some weeks are great, some are decent, others are break-even or below par.

At BeerLife Sports our effort is to be the most, if not the only, 100% transparent sports betting information channel.

This is the breakdown and review of The Oracle’s betting results for the week of Jan. 25-31.

Overall Grade for the Week:

The Oracle laid 13 bets compared to 21 a week ago and went a blistering 10-3 across the NFL, NHL, NBA and men’s college basketball. He was perfect on two NFL and two NHL bets. College hoops was his largest betting slate, going 6-2 with a bad beat. The Oracle’s lone NBA bet lost. He had no “big miss” this past week. That, plus his overall record earned a solid “A” grade.

Big Hit

The Oracle wagered three units, his largest of the week for any sport, on Virginia Tech to cover as three-point underdogs at Florida State on Saturday. The Hokies won outright by 13 points, 85-72.

Bad Beat

Northeastern lost by five points at UNC Wilmington on Thursday as four-point underdogs.

The Oracle hit both his Sunday bets. He took the Bengals +7 at Kansas City and won outright, 27-24, in overtime. In game two, The Oracle wagered on the 49ers +3 for the first half. They led 10-7 at the break in Los Angeles.

The Oracle went light with just two bets for the week and cashed both. He played big moneyline favorites in the Predators -180 on Tuesday and the Wild -145 on Friday.

More NHL picks are coming, generated by The Oracle’s algorithm, as the pro-hockey season progresses.

The Oracle missed on his lone pro basketball bet this past week. Kings +6.5 at New York lost by 20 points.

Like the NHL, more NBA and college basketball bets from The Oracle system are on the horizon as pro hockey and basketball dominate the sports betting landscape by mid-February, with March Madness and the MLB on deck shortly thereafter.

College Basketball

The Oracle turned in one his best slates, going 6-2. The two losses were the aforementioned “bad beat” with Northeastern +4, and Arkansas Little Rock +10.5 losing by 15.

“Unofficial Bets”

As you may know, The Oracle is offering picks in the 50% to 60% confidence range, below his official algorithm strategy threshold of confidence, and a single unit bet. But for those who wish to take their chances on these unofficial suggestions, The Oracle recommends 0.5 unit bets for each of them. Since starting this system six weeks ago, the Unofficial Bets are up two units overall.
