The Oracle Betting Results- Week Ending January 10, 2022

Here, we assess the betting results of The Oracle, the premiere handicapper at BeerLife Sports. We believe in sharing the details of his bets, the hits, and misses.

These recaps span Tuesday through Monday each week. Some weeks are great, some are decent, others are break-even or below par.

At BeerLife Sports our effort is to be the most, if not the only, 100% transparent sports betting information channel.

This is the breakdown and review of The Oracle’s betting results for the week of Jan. 4-10.

Overall Grade for the Week:

“B-”

The Oracle cashed bigly on the Pistons as massive home underdogs on Monday night, which capped an above-average week. He went in on college basketball, betting the most extensive slate we’ve seen in recent weeks. Slim NHL bets didn’t fare well and Alabama +3 against Georgia in the National Championship game was a letdown. Thankfully that bet was offset and then some on Monday night with the big win on the Pistons.

Big Hit

The Oracle bet two units on the Detroit Pistons +500 moneyline to beat the Jazz in the Motor City. Result: Pistons 126, Jazz 116. BIG money to cap the betting week.

Big Miss

The Oracle took a blow on LSU +8 for three units. The Bayou Bengals got run by Kansas State in their bowl game, 42-20.

“Unofficial Bets”

As you may know, The Oracle is now offering picks in the 50% to 60% confidence range, below his official algorithm strategy threshold of confidence, and a single unit bet. But for those who wish to take their chances on these unofficial suggestions, The Oracle recommends 0.5 unit bets for each of them. Since starting this system 3 weeks ago, the Unofficial Bets are up 1.5U.

NFL

The Oracle got off to a hot start in Week 18, betting and cashing Broncos +11 hosting the Chiefs on Saturday. He also hit that game’s over 44.5 points (52). Come Sunday, one-unit bets on the Football Team -305 moneyline, Texans +11 and over 42.5 points in Titans-Texans all hit. Another over on total points in the nightcap to Week 18, Chargers-Raiders, cashed as well (67).

The Oracle also hit an under bet by one point: Bengals-Browns under 38. His other two “under” bets, however, lost. Bears-Vikings under 44.5 points (48), and 49ers-Rams under 44.5 points (51).

Point spreads and moneylines also didn’t fare well on the Panthers +10 (lost 41-17) and Partiots -265 (lost 33-24).

The Oracle finished his dozen NFL Week 18 bets at 7-5.

NHL

NHL bets went 0-2 on Saturday. Devils +107 and Red Wings +120 both were futile.

More NHL picks are coming, generated by The Oracle’s algorithm, as the pro-hockey season progresses.

NBA

The big hit of the week came on the final day, with the Pistons cashing as massive underdogs hosting the Jazz.

The Oracle double dipped on the Spurs-Knicks game on Monday night and lost both Spurs +6.5 and over 212.5 points (207).

Earlier NBA bets didn’t fare any better. Pacers +3.5 on Tuesday lost 104-94, and the aforementioned Pistons were rolled as 10.5-point underdogs on Wednesday night, 140-111.

Like the NHL, more NBA and college basketball bets from The Oracle system are on the horizon as pro hockey and basketball dominate the sports betting landscape by mid-February, with March Madness and the MLB on deck shortly thereafter.

College Basketball

The Oracle revved up his amateur hoops bets this past week and went 5-3-1. He lost two early-week bets on Oklahoma State +7 on Tuesday and Tennessee -15 on Wednesday. Come Saturday, The Oracle rattled off four-straight wins before taking a loss on TCU +10 (lost by 12) and a push on Maryland +1.

Another bet on Oregon State on Monday night righted a wrong. The Beavers covered as 4.5-point dogs.
