The Dynasty File: Tee Higgins

The Dynasty File- Tee Higgins

Today we dive into a player that represents one of the best values in all of Dynasty Fantasy Football–Tee Higgins. What makes Tee Higgins one of the best values in Dynasty? Let’s dive in to find out as we open up The Dynasty File: Tee Higgins.

Tee Higgins

Tee Higgins was a dominant receiver during his time at Clemson. Trevor Lawrence and Higgins formed the most dynamic duo in the college game to great success.

During his final two seasons at Clemson, Tee Higgins totaled 2,100 receiving yards and 25 touchdown receptions.

Tee Higgins took his game to the next level and entered the 2020 NFL Draft, where he was drafted, with the first pick in the 2nd round, 33rd overall.

Why was Higgins’ draft slot significant? Between the 1st and 2nd rounds, several teams made overtures to the Bengals to trade up to their draft selection, but Cincinnati resisted, stood pat, and selected Tee Higgins. The Bengals covered Tee Higgins a great deal.

Since being drafted, Higgins has found the same level of success that he found in college. Tee Higgins has totaled 2,000 yards and a dozen touchdowns in his two professional seasons.

Again, why do we believe fantasy managers will undervalue Tee Higgins in Dynasty league circles? Ja’Marr Chase.

Ja’Marr Chase was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals, with the 5th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Chase, of course, played with Joe Burrow at LSU, winning a National Title.

Chase has the stronger draft pedigree, he has the collegiate relationship with their quarterback, and now, Chase has a historic rookie season to boot.

As of Week #18, Ja’Marr Chase is 4th in the NFL in receiving with 1,429 yards and 13 touchdowns to go along with it.

Ja’Marr Chase is one of the top commodities in Dynasty Fantasy Football, and rightfully so. The shine is on Chase, which means the shade will rest on Tee Higgins.

Tee Higgins averaged 10 yards per game less than Ja’Marr Chase, and if the touchdowns balance out, they will be much closer in value than you would expect.

Can we marvel at the fact that Tee Higgins has played his second NFL season, and he hasn’t turned 23 yet? Higgins, like Chase, has the benefit of being connected at the hip to Joe Burrow for the next decade.

Tee Higgins feels like a safe bet for 1,200 yards receiving, 80 receptions, and eight touchdowns. Tee Higgins can provide you with top-five fantasy production at a discounted price.

We all love Ja’Marr Chase, but save some love for Tee Higgins a couple of rounds later.
