THE DAILY: The Best Bang For Your Buck in NBA DFS

Point Guards:

  1. Dejounte Murray $7,300 vs. Los Angeles Lakers (29th)
  2. Donovan Mitchell $8,700 vs. Denver (16th)
  3. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander $8,100 vs. Golden State (22nd)
  4. Steph Curry $11,000 at Oklahoma City (10th)
  5. Luka Doncic $10,900 vs. Houston (6th)
  6. Tyrese Maxey $6,000 at New York (24th)
  7. Mike Conley $5,700 vs. Denver (18th)
  8. Kemba Walker $5,200 vs. Philadelphia (14th)
  9. Kevin Porter Jr. $6,800 at Dallas (5th)
  10. Monte Morris $4,400 at Utah (11th)

The Assist: Dejounte Murray gets a Lakers defense that has been eviscerated by guard play. I like Murray’s upside in this one. Donovan Mitchell is the fire that ignites the Jazz offense, keep rolling him out there at $8,700. SGA is the leader for the Thunder and you know there will be plenty of points scored in the Golden State game.

Shooting Guards:

  1. Seth Curry $5,900 at New York (15th)
  2. Jordan Poole $5,900 at Oklahoma City (14th)
  3. Andrew Wiggins $5,800 at Oklahoma City (14th)
  4. Derrick Rose $5,700 vs. Philadelphia (17th)
  5. Will Barton $5,700 at Utah (22nd)
  6. Derrick White $6,500 vs. Los Angeles Lakers (29th)
  7. Tim Hardaway Jr. $6,700 vs. Houston (21st)
  8. Jordan Clarkson $5,600 vs. Denver (13th)
  9. Joe Ingles $4,800 vs. Denver (13th)
  10. Lugentz Dort $4,700 vs. Golden State (1st)

The Assist: Seth Curry is vital to the Sixers’ early-season success and at $5,900 is a price too good to be true. Jordan Poole continues to play extremely well for the Golden State Warriors early on. We see no reason why his emergence won’t continue. His teammate Andrew Wiggins is also a viable option and provides positional flexibility at either SG or SF.

Small Forwards:

  1. Evan Fournier $6,200 vs. Philadelphia (25th)
  2. RJ Barrett $5,600 vs. Philadelphia (25th)
  3. Josh Giddey $5,800 vs. Golden State (28th)
  4. Michael Porter Jr. $6,200 at Utah (17th)
  5. Bojan Bogdanovic $5,500 vs. Denver (2nd)
  6. Jae’Sean Tate $5,300 at Dallas (13th)
  7. Eric Gordon $4,900 at Dallas (13th)
  8. Otto Porter Jr. $4,200 at Oklahoma City (14th)
  9. Lonnie Walker IV $4,200 vs. Los Angeles Lakers (20th)
  10. Dorian Finney-Smith $5,100 vs. Houston (9th)

The Assist: Evan Fournier has started off the season on fire. Stick with Fournier until he cools off. RJ Barrett has ridiculous upside for a player valued at $5,600. Josh Giddey is a bit of a ‘gut’ call. My expectation is that the Warriors pour on the points and the Thunder are playing catch-up all game long.

Power Forwards:

  1. Tobias Harris $8,000 at New York (3rd)
  2. Julius Randle $9,500 vs. Philadelphia (11th)
  3. Kristaps Porzingis $7,600 at Houston (9th)
  4. Draymond Green $7,100 vs Oklahoma City (25th)
  5. LeBron James $9,400 at San Antonio (6th)
  6. Carmelo Anthony $5,200 at San Antonio (6th)
  7. Keldon Johnson $5,200 vs. Los Angeles Lakers (17th)
  8. Aaron Gordon $4,900 at Utah (16th)
  9. Thaddeus Young $4,800 vs. Los Angeles Lakers (17th)
  10. Nemanja Bjelica $4,200 at Oklahoma City (25th)

The Assist: Tobias Harris’s role in the Sixers offense is secure and will get ample opportunity to light up the scoreboard against the Knicks. Julius Randle is the most expensive option at the position on the slate, but I like paying up for him. Randle is the centerpiece of the offense for the Knicks. Kristaps Porzingis is receiving a reduced price against a Houston defense that is vulnerable on the inside.

  1. Anthony Davis $9,200 at San Antonio (6th)
  2. Joel Embiid $9,800 at New York (24th)
  3. Nikola Jokic $10,600 at Utah (2nd)
  4. Christian Wood $8,400 at Dallas (27th)
  5. Rudy Gobert $8,200 vs. Denver (18th)

The Assist: Continue to play Anthony Davis in DFS until his price rises. Davis is a ridiculous value at the moment. As always, monitor the injury report prior to tonight’s Sixers/Knicks game, but if Embiid is playing, you are playing him in your DFS lineup. Nikola Jokic’s salary has dropped a tick here, making him more obtainable for your DFS lineup—fire up The Joker.
