NHL DFS Tournament Breakdown For DraftKings And FanDuel - 11:29:2021

We’ve got a small four-game slate tonight in the NHL, but at least it’s not two or three. Four gives us enough to work with without having to get too out there with our lineup construction to make a unique enough roster for large-field GPPs. Let’s take a look at some of our best options on this slate.

Top Stacks – Overall

Winnipeg 1 – DraftKings: $18,800 – FanDuel: $20,100

Kyle Connor – Mark Scheifele – Blake Wheeler

The trio of Connor, Scheifele, and Wheeler is the top overall stack tonight by a considerable margin in terms of DFS projection and top-stack probability. Arizona has struggled mightily this season defensively and is second in the league in goals against. This is a smash spot for one of the top offensive lines in the NHL.

Calgary 1 – DraftKings: $20,800 – FanDuel: $22,300

Elias Lindholm – Johnny Gaudreau – Matthew Tkachuk

It is just a middle-of-the-road matchup tonight for Calgary’s first line, but there aren’t a ton of options on tonight’s slate, and CGY1 is an elite line regardless of matchup. They are second on the list of top stacks.

Pittsburgh 1 -DraftKings: $19,100 – FanDuel: $19,900

Sidney Crosby – Jake Guentzel – Evan Rodrigues

PIT1 faces an extremely tough matchup against Calgary but still has to be considered for tonight’s four-game slate. An added benefit is that with Bryan Rust out and Evan Rodrigues in, the overall price of the stack goes down, providing some value.

Top Stack – Value

Montreal 1 – DraftKings: $13,100 – FanDuel: $13,600

Tyler Toffoli – Christian Dvorak – Josh Anderson

Montreal has not been great this year, but we need to find value somewhere to pay up for more expensive primary stacks. They get a good matchup on this slate against a team that has struggled considerably defensively in the Canucks.

Top Plays – Defenseman

Ceiling:

Jakob Chychrun – DraftKings: $7,600 – FanDuel: $5,200

Kris Letang – DraftKings: $7,200 – FanDuel: $6,000

Shayne Gostisbehere – DraftKings: $6,200 – FanDuel: $5,100

Neal Pionk – DraftKings: $5,400 – FanDuel: $4,600

DraftKings Value:

David Savard: $2,500

Erik Gudbranson: $2,500

Christopher Tanev: $2,900

FanDuel Value:

Jeff Petry – $3,800

Jakob Chychrun – $5,200 (yes, he is both a top ceiling and value play on FD)

Mark Pysyk: $3,500

Top Plays – Goalie

Jacob Markstrom – DraftKings: $7,900 – FanDuel: $8,300

Connor Hellebuyck – DraftKings: $8,200 – FanDuel: $8,000

Tournament Stack Pivots: DraftKings

I’d look to Vancouver 2 and Seattle 1 for low-owned leverage in tournaments on DraftKings. Both should come in at less than 8% cumulative ownership.

Tournament Stack Pivots: FanDuel

Vancouver 2 and Arizona 1 are good low-owned stack pivots on FanDuel. On a small slate like this, we can gain a lot of leverage with these off-the-board stacks.
