NHL DFS- Top Stacks, Plays, And Leverage For DraftKings And FanDuel - 1:11:2022

Today we have a seven-game NHL slate on deck, barring any more unexpected game postponements. The CAR/PHI game has already been postponed, although listed on the slate. Let’s look at some of our best options for DFS today.

Top Stacks – Overall

Colorado 1 – DraftKings: $21,900 – FanDuel: $26,300

Nathan MacKinnon – Mikko Rantanen – Valeri Nichushkin

It seemed like a brief window to have the full-potency Colorado 1 line of MacKinnon/Rantanen/Landeskog together again. Now Landeskog is out due to the health protocols, and Nichuskin is set to replace him on line 1. He is capable in his own right, and without Landeskog, the line is a bit more affordable, which is a net-positive in some respects. They are on a back-to-back, and the road matchup with Nashville is nothing remarkable. Still, it doesn’t get much better than Colorado 1, with at least MacKinnon/Rantanen skating together in terms of pure ceiling potential.

San Jose 1 – DraftKings: $18,700 – FanDuel: $21,400

Timo Meier – Tomas Hertl – Alexander Barabanov

San Jose 1 gets a great home matchup against a highly attackable Detroit team. They have full power play 1 correlation and come at a decent price tag on both sites considering their probability of being a top stack tonight. You can also pair them with defenseman Brett Burns if you can afford it for a full four-man PP1 stack.

Pittsburgh 1 – DraftKings: $22,000 – FanDuel: $24,400

Jake Guentzel – Sidney Crosby – Evan Rodrigues

Pittsburgh 1 gets a decent matchup against Anaheim tonight. Although they are on the road, the Ducks are beatable, and this line is elite with Guentzel back in action. Bryan Rust is out and has been replaced with Evan Rodrigues, but this does not necessarily reduce the quality of this line. Rodrigues also skates on the top power play with Guentzel and Crosby.

Top Stack – DraftKings Value

Vancouver 1 – $12,100

J.T. Miller – Brock Boeser – Vasily Podkolzin

We will need to save somewhere to pay up for some of the top options on this slate. Vancouver is on the road against a middle-of-the-road Florida defensive team. There’s nothing particularly outstanding about this line or matchup, but they are cheap. Millier and Boeser both skate on the top power play. Podkolzin is not on the power play, and you could consider leaving him off the line as he is not a high ceiling skater.

Top Stack – FanDuel Value

Columbus 2 – $14,400

Oliver Bjorkstrand – Jakub Voracek – Cole Sillinger

On the defensive end, Chicago has been a highly beatable team, and Columbus gets them in a home matchup tonight. Columbus 2 is too cheap for this favorable scenario and is a glaring value on FanDuel tonight. You also get a fantastic built-in defenseman pairing with top value Zach Werenski.

Tournament Stack Pivots

As usual, some of the best stacks on the slate will go somewhat under-owned due to pricing. Particularly on FanDuel. Colorado 1 and Pittsburgh 1 will provide us with considerable leverage while still being very high success probability stacks. On DraftKings, I’d also look to FLA1 and FLA2, VGK1, DET1, ANH2, and TOR2 for low-ownership pivots. TB1, TOR2, FLA2, SJ1, COL2, and VAN1 are good FanDuel leverage options.
