NFL Free Agency Fits

NFL Free Agency Fits

Today, we look at some of our favorite NFL Free Agents and where we would like to see them land.

Davante Adams to wherever Aaron Rodgers is

Admittedly, this one is a bit vague. I do not wish to see Davante Adams anywhere other than on the opposite end of Aaron Rodgers’ passes. Rodgers and Adams have developed a chemistry that is second to none. I have seen the idea of Adams reuniting with his college quarterback Derek Carr in Las Vegas. While I understand the sentimentality, Davante Adams wouldn’t be the same.

Chris Godwin to the Chicago Bears

I believe in Justin Fields. The Chicago Bears need to surround Fields with weapons to throw to. Allen Robinson is heading out of town and appears to be on the downside of his career. A player like Chris Godwin would not usually hit the open market, but an injury to his ACL throws a wrench into resigning him. Pairing a reliable underneath target such as Godwin with an explosive playmaker in Darnell Mooney gives the Bears something to build around and gives Justin Fields his best chance at success.

Mike Williams to the New York Jets

I see the New York Jets and the Chicago Bears in the same spectrum. You invested in drafting your young quarterback, now is the time to surround him with the talent to give him the best possible chance at success. I have my doubts about Zach Wilson, but the jury remains out. Adding a Mike Williams to your offense to pair with Elijah Moore gives you a nice one-two punch to add some life into the lifeless Jets’ offense.

Orlando Brown Jr. to the Cincinnati Bengals

Every NFL analyst will be pounding the table for the Cincinnati Bengals to fortify their offensive line around Joe Burrow this off-season. Just because everyone is saying the same thing doesn’t make it wrong. The Bengals need to add multiple pieces in free agency and the draft. Acquiring the nasty Orlando Brown changes your teams’ mentality up-front overnight.

Terron Armstead to the Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers avoided the offensive line early in the 2021 NFL Draft, focusing on playmakers Najee Harris and Pat Freiermuth instead. A year later, they find themselves in need of reinforcements up front. A player like Terron Armstead would not usually hit free agency. With the New Orleans Saints in cap casualty hell, his availability may come to fruition. Terron Armstead would add legitimacy to a Steelers offensive line in desperate need.

Von Miller to the Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens are known for an aggressive-minded defensive approach. Imagine adding an electric player such as Von Miller off the edge to this unit. Miller isn’t the player he once was, but he can still cause enough havoc to get excited about this potential union.

J.C. Jackson to resign with the New England Patriots

The grass is not always greener. We have seen top cornerbacks leave their friendly confines only to get roasted in other cities before. J.C. Jackson should not leave the Patriots scheme where he is flourishing.

Jessie Bates III run it back with the Cincinnati Bengals

Jessie Bates III is the leader of the Cincinnati Bengals defense. The Bengals were a feel-good story that almost resulted in a Super Bowl victory. You would hate to see Bates leave now.
