NBA DFS First Look For DraftKings And FanDuel - 12/6/2021

After yesterday’s three-game slate, we have a close to full allotment of games throughout the Association tonight. With no ado, let’s dig in and see what we’ve got to work with.

PHI (111.75) @ CHA (105.25)

Tobias Harris is currently questionable and whether he plays or not is big for DFS. In his absence, Georges Niang would likely draw the start, and Matisse Thybulle might also get some additional run. As of now, Joel Embiid is the only standout play on both sites. He’d be an even better option with Harris out, and there’d be more opportunity to go around overall for Philly.

We’ve got a ton of value on Charlotte with LaMelo Ball and Terry Rozier slated to miss. Ish Smith, Cody Martin, Kelly Oubre, Miles Bridges, PJ Washington, and Gordon Hayward are great plays on DraftKings. On FanDuel, Smith, Martin, and Oubre stand out the most from a pricing perspective, but everyone I mentioned is viable as well. This is one of the best spots on the slate to target for DFS.

OKC (99.25) @ DET (104.25)

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has just been reported as available. Assuming he starts, our only real value on OKC lies with Darius Bazley and, to a lesser extent Luguentz Dort on DraftKings. On FanDuel, Josh Giddey is a good value, and Bazley is also solid. The now available Gilgeous-Alexander is playable on any slate but doesn’t stand out from a pricing perspective today.

This is a pretty good game to target for DFS despite two less than optimal franchises squaring off. On DraftKings, Killian Hayes, Saddiq Bey, Frank Jackson, Cade Cunningham, and Jeremi Grant all present us with excellent value for the Pistons. Jackson does not look as good for his price on FanDuel, while Isaiah Stewart enters the mix at just $5,300.

WAS (102.5) @ IND (108)

Washington has had a difficult time of late, and it’s hard to trust them. We still have some DraftKings value in Aaron Holiday, Daniel Gafford, Montrezl Harrell, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. I wouldn’t play Gafford and Harrell together since they share minutes at center.

Oshae Brissett offers a bit of value for Indiana at the minimum price on DraftKings. Myles Turner and Chris Duarte are also good plays there. None of Caris LeVert, Malcolm Brogdon, and Domantas Sabonis are priced well. Still, you can always play them for their upside. At their prices, Sabonis and Levert are the top plays on FanDuel, while Turner and Duarte also present some value.

MEM (104.75) @ MIA (109.25)

Tyus Jones, De’Anthony Melton, and Jaren Jackson Jr. are all excellent values for Memphis. With Ja Morant out indefinitely, we will have some meat on the bone there. That is until the prices rise considerably on some of these guys. Along with Jackson and Jones, Dillon Brooks and Desmond Bane are nice FanDuel plays, while Melton’s price makes him less appealing.

As of the moment, all of Duncan Robinson, DeWayne Dedmon, P.J. Tucker, and Kyle Lowry are decent plays for the Heat with Bam Adebayo out. Jimmy Butler is questionable, and Tyler Herro enters the fray if he sits. At the same time, Kyle Lowry becomes an even better option. On FanDuel, Lowry, and Butler himself, if he is to suit up, are the best plays from a pricing perspective.

DEN (106.75) @ CHI (110.25)

With Jokic healthy, no one is standing out on the Nuggets on DraftKings or FanDuel. You can always play Jokic, but from a pricing perspective, he isn’t a great play today.

As long as they all share the court, Zach Lavine, DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Vucevic, and Lonzo Ball will continue to be sub-optimal DFS plays. That is barring mispricing on a given night. Still, all present upside on any slate. With Alex Caruso doubtful and likely to sit, we have some value in Derrick Jones Jr. and Ayo Dosunmu.

CLE (103.75) @ MIL (110.25)

Evan Mobley, Isaac Okoro, and Ricky Rubio are our most playable Cavs on DraftKings. No one for Cleveland is looking good on FanDuel.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Grayson Allen, and George Hill are all questionable. If Giannis is out, it flips the slate on its head, and Bobby Portis, Jrue Holiday, and Khris Middleton become good plays here. With everyone in, no one stands out as a good value, but you can always play Giannis, of course, for raw points.

ATL (109.75) @ MIN (112.25)

With Bogdan Bogdanovic out, we’ve got a bit of value in Atlanta. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Cam Reddish (questionable), Danilo Gallinari, and John Collins all look good on DraftKings. Gallinari is the best play on FanDuel. If Reddish sits, we get even more value for the Hawks.

As of the moment, Jarred Vanderbilt on DraftKings is the only particularly good DFS play for Minnesota. Patrick Beverley, Karl-Anthony Towns, and D’Angelo Russell are all questionable. If any sit, it changes everything and makes many of the Timberwolves great plays. Naz Reid and Jarred Vanderbilt particularly benefit from KAT being out. If KAT and Russell are out, Anthony Edwards becomes the alpha and will likely see a bump in usage if either sit.

SAS (104.25) @ PHX (112.25)

Jakob Poeltl, Lonnie Walker IV, and Keldon Johnson are all nice values on DraftKings. On FanDuel, it’s just a Poeltl and Johnson. Dejounte Murray is always in play for his upside, but there’s nothing remarkable about his price here.

We will continue to have some Phoenix value with Devin Booker out. Cameron Payne, Cameron Johnson, Landry Shamet, Jae Crowder, and Deandre Ayton qualify on DraftKings and FanDuel. Chris Paul should benefit from Booker’s absence, but his price is not great on either DFS site.

ORL (100.75) @ GSW (116.75)

Gary Harris and Cole Anthony give us a little bit of value for Orlando on DraftKings. On FanDuel, no one is looking good for their prices in this tough matchup against Golden State.

Juan Toscano-Anderson and, to a lesser extent Gary Payton (minimum price) are fringe values on this slate for DraftKings despite lacking in minutes. They could also benefit from some blowout run if this game goes according to Vegas. Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and Toscano-Anderson are the FanDuel plays.

LAC (109.25) @ POR (106.25)

Marcus Morris Sr. and Reggie Jackson are solid DraftKings values for the Clippers. Paul George always has upside, but his price is not standing out today on DK. Jackson and Morris also look good on FanDuel, but George does as well at $8,900, which is just too low.

We’ve got much value on Portland with Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons still out. Nassir Little (questionable), Dennis Smith Jr., Norman Powell, Larry Nance Jr., and CJ McCollum stand out here. If Little sits, Powell and Tony Snell benefit. McCollum, Smith, and Powell are the plays on FanDuel.
