OVER: Joe Burrow Passing Yards (273.5)
I don’t see the Bengals finding much success running the football against the Rams front seven. The Bengals best shot is spreading the Rams out and hitting several receiving options. If the Bengals are victorious, it will be on the right arm of Joe Burrow. If the Bengals lose and are chasing, they are likely throwing the ball plenty. Either way, Burrow should eclipse 273 passing yards.
OVER: Matthew Stafford Passing Yards (278.5)
The Rams running game has not been all it’s cracked up to be in the playoffs. Matthew Stafford will have to carry a heavy load in this one. Outside of Jessie Bates, the Bengals secondary is suspect.
OVER: Cincinnati Bengals Points (22.5)
I like the Bengals scoring points in this one and giving them a fair shot to pull off the victory. I believe Burrow and the Bengals receivers can find holes in the Rams’ secondary. I’ll lean into the over here.
OVER: Ja’Marr Chase Receiving Yards (78.5)
The Chiefs decided to take away Ja’Marr Chase. They did so with relative success. I have to imagine with two weeks to prepare that the Bengals coaching staff will be more imaginative with ways to free up the rookie sensation.
OVER: Tee Higgins Receiving Yards (68.5)
Tee Higgins could very well be the key to this game. Like the Chiefs, if the Rams devote their attention to stopping Chase, Tee Higgins will have to win in the intermediate.
OVER: Odell Beckham Jr. Receiving Yards (62.5)
I would imagine that the Bengals will have Jessie Bates paying particular attention to Cooper Kupp in this one. With the Bengals shading their defense toward Kupp, Odell Beckham Jr. should find a ton of open room.
+105: Ja’Marr Chase TD
Ja’Marr Chase has been the Bengals’ go-to option in the RedZone all season long. I would look for the trend to continue in the Super Bowl.
+115: Joe Mixon TD
I believe Joe Mixon will have to be utilized as a receiver out of the backfield as much as he is as a runner. I like Mixon’s odds of finding paydirt.
+130: Odell Beckham Jr. TD
I’m riding the ODB hot streak. Beckham Jr. has found a resurgence in the Rams offense. I believe it continues against Cincinnati.
-3,000: Neither team scores a TD on their opening drive
I believe there will be a settling-in period with each team figuring things out before the air raid commences.
-130: Last play of the game is a QB kneel
I believe the winning team will be icing the game kneel-downs at the end.
-130: Largest lead of the game (Under 14.5)
I expect this game to be close throughout. I believe the teams stay within one score for most of the game.
+230: Joe Burrow for Super Bowl MVP
Joe Burrow has the momentum, and it feels like America is on his side. If it is close and debatable, Burrow will get the nod.
+3300: Tee Higgins for Super Bowl MVP
Tee Higgins as the Super Bowl MVP may be my favorite bet. If the Bengals are to be victorious, I believe Higgins has to play a huge role. I could see an 8-catch 100+ yards and a touchdown in his future. If he makes enough big plays, perhaps he can take home the hardware, and the +3300 odds are delightful.
I like beer. I like football. Sometimes, both at the same time.
