Dynasty Deep Dive:
Jonathan Taylor deserves the top spot given his talent, age, and secure role in the Colts offense. If you wanted to place Christian McCaffrey atop the list, I would not argue. McCaffrey’s talent as a runner plus receiver is second to none. Some may argue against D’Andre Swifts’ inclusion in the top five, but he has proven a fantasy asset even on a horrific offense. It will be interesting to witness how dynasty fantasy managers begin to treat the Dalvin Cook’s and Alvin Kamara’s of the fantasy world as they are getting a bit longer in the tooth.
Some could take issue with Javonte Williams’ inclusion in the top ten. Williams is a talented back, and he should be given the lead role in the Broncos offense in early 2022 at the earliest. How will fantasy managers feel about Derrick Henry coming off of an injury at 28 years of age? Cam Akers and J.K. Dobbins have been out of sight out of mind this season with their injuries–two young players that can return healthy and could take large jumps in their dynasty ranking. Elijah Mitchell has shown the explosiveness that the 49ers want in their offense. The conversation around Mitchell in dynasty circles this off-season will be fascinating.
I like beer. I like football. Sometimes, both at the same time.
