TUESDAY – The opening spread of seven points held.
WEDNESDAY – Packers backers took seven points at three books, moving those respective spreads to 7.5 points. Caesars held at seven.
THURSDAY – More money hit the Packers, but, Caesars moved to 7.5 while DraftKings dropped to seven points.
FRIDAY – The market-consensus was at 7.5 points, with Packers backers pushing the spread through a key number.
Buccaneers at Panthers
TUESDAY – Slight early action bumped the Panthers down from an 11-point underdog to 10.5 at DraftKings and BetMGM.
WEDNESDAY – More Panthers money came for the 10.5-point spread, making it a consensus 10 points.
THURSDAY – Buccaneers -10 across the board.
FRIDAY – DraftKings and Caesars took Panthers buyback at 10 points, dropping to 9.5.
Giants at Eagles
TUESDAY – Bettors hit the opening spread of nine points and took the Eagles, pushing the number to 10, and 10.5 at FanDuel.
WEDNESDAY – FanDuel and Caesars were at 9.5 points. DraftKings and BetMGM were at 10.
THURSDAY – Caesars was under the hook, at 9.5 points. All other books were at 10.
FRIDAY – Eagles -10 across the board.
Chargers at Texans
TUESDAY – Sportsbooks opened this spread just over a key number of 10 points and bettors responded by hitting the Texans enough to drive the number down to a low point of nine points at DraftKings. FanDuel and Caesars were at 9.5 points with BetMGM at 10.
WEDNESDAY – The market settled at 10 points across the board.
THURSDAY – Books were split at 10 and 10.5 points.
FRIDAY – DraftKings was the lone book at 10 points as all others were at 10.5, offering Texans buyback over a key number.
Lions at Falcons
TUESDAY – After opening at 6.5 points, the market was discrepant in a range of four, 5.5 and six points.
WEDNESDAY – The market split at 5.5 and six points as Falcons bettors picked off the low mark of four points.
THURSDAY – Books split at 5.5 and six points.
FRIDAY – Books again were split, this time at 6.5 and seven points that showed more Falcons support.
Ravens at Bengals
TUESDAY – Books held at the opener of 2.5 points in favor of the Bengals, just under a key number.
WEDNESDAY – The Bengals moved to three-point favorites at all books except DraftKings, which held at 2.5.
THURSDAY – DraftKings joined the market at three points in favor of the Bengals.
FRIDAY – Massive Bengals support moved the entire market up 1.5 points, to 4.5.
Vikings at Rams
TUESDAY – Early bettors hit “the hook” on Vikings +3.5, moving the market to a consensus three points.
WEDNESDAY – The spread dropped to 2.5 points at DraftKings after that book’s bettors took Vikings +3. All other books held at three points.
THURSDAY – Market split at 3.5 and three points.
FRIDAY – BetMGM was the lone book at three points. All others sat at 3.5 in favor of the Rams, which presents Vikings buyback above a key number.
Jaguars at Jets
TUESDAY – The market tabbed the J-E-T-S as 1.5-point home favorites and bettors agreed, moving Gang Green to 2.5 points, leaving meat on the bone under a key number of three.
WEDNESDAY – Bettors on both sides rocked the market. This game was either a pick ’em, Jaguars -1 or Jets -1 across the board.
THURSDAY – What a betting game. Jets -1 and Pick ’em was the board.
FRIDAY – Jets -1.5 was the market consensus.
Bills at Patriots
TUESDAY – Books installed the Patriots as 2.5-point home favorites, just under the first key number in football betting, and the market hadn’t budged off that mark.
WEDNESDAY – Not only did Patriots -2.5 not reach three points, half the books dropped to two points, signaling action on the Bills, even under a key number of three.
THURSDAY – Bills action splintered the market to 1.5, two and 2.5 points.
FRIDAY – FanDuel was the only book at Patriots -1.5, while the others were at two points.
Bears at Seahawks
TUESDAY – Early action was on the Bears as a seven-point road dog, dropping the spread to 6.5 at half the books.
WEDNESDAY – Caesars went to six points. All other books were at 6.5.
THURSDAY – Same as Wednesday, respectively.
FRIDAY – All books were at 6.5 points as Caesars joined at the mark.
Steelers at Chiefs
TUESDAY – From opening Chiefs -9.5, the market splintered. Books spread across seven, 7.5, 9.5 and 10 points. Take your pick.
WEDNESDAY – DraftKings and FanDuel were at 7.5 points. BetMGM: 9.5 points. Caesars: 10.
THURSDAY – Three books were at 8.5 points, except Caesars: 10 points.
FRIDAY – The market settled at 8.5 points.
Broncos at Raiders
TUESDAY – Books opened at a “pick ’em.” The market moved toward the Raiders, albeit shortly, as a one- and 1.5-point favorite. Flip a coin right now.
WEDNESDAY – Raiders -1.5 points was erased across the board. DraftKings and Caesars dropped to Raiders -1. BetMGM went to a “pick ’em” and FanDuel flipped to orange and blue as a one-point favorite.
THURSDAY – Caesars was the lone book supporting the Rrrraiders (Chris Berman voice), at -1. BetMGM was a pick ’em. DraftKings and FanDuel listed Broncos -1.
FRIDAY – DraftKings and FanDuel favored the Broncos by a point. BetMGM again was a pick ’em and Caesars listed Raiders -1.
Football Team at Cowboys
TUESDAY – The Cowboys opened as one of the biggest favorites on the Week 16 slate and, according to bettors, weren’t big enough. As a 9.5-point favorite, just under a key number, they were bet up to 10.5 points across the board.
WEDNESDAY – Caesars took more Cowboys action, going to 11 points as the three other books held at 10.5.
THURSDAY – Dem Boys were -10.5 everywhere except FanDuel at 10 points.
FRIDAY – Buyback hit the Football Team at +10.5 points, which erased “the hook” and made 10 points the market consensus.
Dolphins at Saints
TUESDAY – Books gave the early edge to potential Dolphins backers at an opening number of 3.5 points. Sure enough, ‘Fins bettors came through, driving this spread down to a market-consensus three points as Dolphins bettors grabbed “the hook,” rendering the spread to a stagnant three points.
WEDNESDAY – The market stayed at three points across all four above-listed sportsbooks.
THURSDAY – How the turntables. Saints QB Taysom Hill was out with the ‘Rona, moving the market to Dolphins -1.5, two and upward of three points.
FRIDAY – FanDuel ticked up to three points in favor of the Dolphins. All other books were at 2.5.
Thursday’s result: Titans 20, 49ers 17
TUESDAY – Bettors have been hot on the Niners in recent weeks and again flipped them from a short-dog to, this time, a 3.5-point favorite.
WEDNESDAY – Buyback hit the Titans +3.5 at all books except FanDuel, which still had the hook.
THURSDAY – Books closed at three points. The Titans trailed 10-0 at recess and won outright, 20-17, as a three-point dog.
